Strengthening young families is something we are proud to be a part of and Trenton’s mom sent us a terrific update about her son. His journey through TRE’s Early Intervention program helped him work on a speech delay.
She told us, “I wasn’t really around kids much, so I felt his speech was fine, but I had to admit that he was a little delayed. When we first met our therapists, Trenton was a year and ten months and pretty shy around people he didn’t know very well. But once he got to know his therapists more, he was always so excited to see them whenever they came to visit. I really liked how TRE came to us and worked with Trenton face to face. What’s nice is speech is not the only thing they work on, they also help kids with their fine motor skills, especially when it comes to working with their hands.
TRE is great for those who need help before the age of three. It’s free and you can use them as often as you want during the week. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Progress may feel slow at first, but as you continue on down the road you realize there is improvement, and your child seems more confident. They also work in occupational therapy so if you have a very picky eater or need help getting rid of a bottle, this is very helpful!”
Way to go, Trenton, and thank you mom, for sharing your story!
