Ruthie’s mom shared her words with us and The Gazette. We are so grateful to our families for sharing their stories with us and other families.
“TRE has been an amazing resource for our family and especially our daughter Ruthie! Ruthie started seeing a wonderful speech/language pathologist, Cathy, through TRE last year in the midst of the pandemic. We were able to meet with Cathy weekly over a video call and Ruthie soon began asking for “speech” time each week. Cathy did an amazing job of connecting with Ruthie even though it was virtual and providing activities that got her engaged and talking! One of our favorite things was that she also gave us great suggestions for how to help Ruthie throughout the week between sessions. Our daughter went from saying only a handful of words to confidently speaking in sentences. Tonight we were even serenaded by the ABC song as Ruthie fell asleep. Thank you so much, Cathy and TRE!”
