Restrictive Interventions

The following trainings are open to any and all who are interested in attending.

RSVPs must be made directly to Kayla Smith via email (ksmith@tre.org) or telephone (785-6416) with number of attendees and which training sessions they plan to attend. The deadline for RSVPs is one week before training you plan to attend. If capacity is reached prior to that deadline, we will let you know.

Overview of types of restrictive interventions and processes for implementation.  Definitions and DIDD Rule and Reg/CRS are used.  Covered topics include:  Restrictive procedures, Rights Suspensions, Emergency Control Procedures, and Safety Control Procedures.  Restraint (mechanical and physical,) prohibitions, and least restrictive methods are discussed as well.  Case studies will be used and examples are welcome as part of class discussion.
