The Resource Exchange
Parenting can be tough, it becomes even more difficult when children are diagnosed with a disability. Parents go through a wide range of natural emotions including denial, anger, frustration, guilt, resentment, depression and fear.
Parents may feel alone and helpless, like nothing they have ever experienced before in their lives.
Partnering with Parents is a six-week parent support group designed to reframe negative thinking and provide strategies to manage stress, using character strengths and virtues in new ways. Topics covered include: Control to Letting Go; Grief to Acceptance, Guilt to Forgiveness; Conflict to Collaboration; Fear to Confidence; Pessimism to Optimism.
Spring Session is Six consecutive Mondays: February 5- March 12, 2018
